Our planet is melting yet we do nothing to help it!
So I’m sitting here at work when the sudden realization of global warming hit me dam smack in the face. Sure I’ve always heard of people saying our world is heating up but even I must admit I’m not doing all that much to help the situation. I mean sure I recycle everything in my home but I’m not doing anything socially to help improve the planet in which we live.
I look outside my office window right now and the reality of Global warming is all too real. The winter months in Ontario are no longer the same. The snow falls later in the season and seems to even melt faster. I was watching Global News a few days ago and I guess they saw the biggest loss ever in history up in the North Pole Ice Caps. If you don’t believe me you can easily search Google for more news and information regarding this world issue.
I know that I will live my life without being affected by Global warming but we can’t think like this. We must take action now to help our children live healthy lives without worry of Global warming and eventually the end of mankind. Our water is scarce, our forests are burning yet we seem to care less daily! Sure this is a short blog today but I think it’s important to mention these Global issues. We continue to live our daily lives with little or no reflection on what we’re doing to our planet. We need to take a step back and look at what we have done, look at what we have become because in the end we are the only ones who can make a difference.
So to end the blog I ask all my readers to do one thing and only one thing. Please start recycling your plastics, card board, metal and glass. These are simple steps you can do in order to help save or planet. I must warn you recycling can become very addictive almost to the point where nothing in your home is really garbage anymore.
If you can’t take these simple suggestions and implement them in your life habits then yes, you can officially say iknownil!

I bring my own shoppers bag when I go to the mall so they don’t have to use plastic bags for my purchases. If it’s a paper bag, I use them later on to wrap gifts in. Also, my birthday’s coming up. Instead of asking family and friends to give me wrapped presents, I’ll request them to do something good for the environment (e.g. carpool, switch off lights/unplug electronics when not in use, take the bus/metro instead of bringing the car).
See, anyone CAN save the Earth.
This was a really cool post. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I agree, but also don’t. With your blog you have the power to make change, we all do.
If you have MySpace, add me, or check out my first blog posting : great tips for the avgerage Joe to reduce emissions and save $.

It’s getting warmer here too in my part of the world. Maybe God has a plan! Anyway, if he is not doing anything yet, we can do something by blogging! I do this once a while at my post http://dragondescendants.blogspot.com. I have a green post once a while!
I totally agree. Global warming is a pressing issue. Although little is known about its long-term effects, every little thing we do will count. So people, don’t forget to turn off unnecessary appliances/lights!
